About
Jennifer Street
Jennifer is one of the original attorneys who founded the firm in 2008. She devotes the majority of her practice to defending personal injury, products liability, diminished value and construction defect claims. She has tried 25 civil jury trials in 8 different counties in Oregon and Washington. Jennifer especially enjoys trying cases in Oregon’s rural counties. Her diverse trial experience includes defending matters involving automobile injuries, multi-week asbestos products liability cases, products liability elevator injuries, construction defect, UM/UIM injury matters, wrongful cremation and heavy equipment failure property damage claims. Jennifer has earned defense verdicts in a $1.8 million traumatic brain injury excess case where injury was conceded but liability denied, a $3 million products liability injury case against a major elevator manufacturer and in a week long construction defect case, where she represented the sole defendant in a claim for over $1 million. She enjoys working with her clients, not just on the case at hand, but particularly enjoys collaborating with her clients to develop defense strategies to combat problematic claims companies see over and over again, such as those involving attorney fee exposure under ORS 20.080.
Jennifer is originally from a small town in South Dakota where she learned the importance of common sense and hard work. Prior to becoming an attorney, she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. She worked briefly as a biologist before moving to Portland to attend Lewis & Clark Law School where she earned her law degree in 2005. After passing the bar exam, she was admitted to practice law in 2005. She is currently barred in both Oregon and Washington.
Jennifer is an active member of the Oregon State Bar, the Multnomah Bar Association (MBA), and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel (OADC). She has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2012-2019. The Rising Stars selection process takes into account peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice and other cogent factors and is only awarded to a select number of accomplished attorneys in each state. In the past, she has served as the chair of OADC's Products Liability Practice Group. She also served as the chair of the MBA Young Lawyers Section Service to the Public Committee and is also a past secretary of the MBA Young Lawyers Section Board of Directors. She is a past recipient of the MBA Award of Merit for her work in helping found TheYOUthFILM Project.
Jennifer’s greatest joys in life are her children, her husband and Kentucky basketball. When she isn’t working, you will find Jennifer watching college sports and the Portland Trailblazers, gardening and enjoying the great outdoors with her family.
