Jodie has civil litigation insurance defense practice with experience representing individuals and businesses in personal injury and general negligence matters. She has tried and arbitrated cases in Oregon, and is skilled in preparing and arguing trial motions in state and federal courts, taking and defending depositions, and preparing witnesses and experts for depositions and trials. She was born and raised in Illinois, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and graduated from Willamette University College of Law.
Jodie brings real world experience to the practice of law from non-legal experience in managing a craft brewery in Washougal, WA with her husband. Her responsibilities include regulatory agency legal compliance, financials, and human resources, in addition to assisting her husband in brewery and taproom operations. This experience has given her valuable insight as to the practical impact that claims and litigation have on a company’s operations and bottom line, and opportunities for growth and restructuring.
Jodie’s experience in and out of the courtroom has enabled her to help clients find effective and creative solutions to unique and difficult problems.
Away from the office, you can find Jodie exploring the bounties of the Northwest’s artisan food and craft beverage scene or trying out a new recipe at home with her husband and son.
